Double exposure experiment that I want to try more of.

Double exposure experiment that I want to try more of.

Looking forward to watching this Vogue documentary, The First Monday in May.

A beautiful home makeover for Lucy, whose husband, Paul recently passed away.  His book is a lovely read.

Wallpaper.  The removable wallpaper styles, that are less committal than the old days.  But in beautiful patterns like the old days.

Printing this out for the refrigerator as good reminders.

Agreeing with this perspective on homework.

a few items that are grabbing my attention this Monday...

Since I can't seem to keep that darn fiddle leaf fig tree alive, I will settle for one of these.

Getting lost in this newsletter for teen girls.  I know I don't have any girls, (except for my nieces and all my teen IG followers), but aren't we always a teen at heart.

And this.  When you have a child who doesn't have a diagnosis of Autism specifically, but has a laundry list of other diagnosis' that look very similar.  It breaks your heart and keeps you up at night when... "... your child has no friends, oblivious to their social deficit and so aggressively social that people shy away unsure of how to interact."

But I am grateful for my father, who has always reminded me, when talking about his oldest grandson,  "If he is not your best friend it's only because you have not met him yet."  So incredibly thankful for his wisdom.

recently catching my eye….

no. 1 (top left)   Love this sweet craft from mermagblog (a beautiful blog featuring creative play ideas).  I remember when my boys were young and the craft ideas I assumed they could do.  They did not quite have the fine motor skills to be successful, but I always loved their creations!  They have the fine motor skills now…so I am totally doing this for Easter. ;)

no. 2 (top right)  A beautiful, mouth watering, want this for lunch, image by food photographer David Munns.  Proscuitto and Arugula on baguette.

no. 3 (bottom left)  Would love this gorgeous flowering vine growing up the side of my home.  Provence: France | by clary pfeiffer

no. 4 (bottom middle)  Blue China.  Can you ever have enough?

no.5 (bottom right)  Red and pink are one of my favorite color combinations.

and a few other things….i love this product and wish it came in a bit bigger size for my product shoots.  but for any of you etsy designers, this may be just the thing you need.  and have you seen blue jasmine?  i know i am late to the game, but i saw it right before the oscars and loved it.  kate blanchett was awesome and well deserving of her oscar.

happy monday.  xo

a few things that caught my eye this week...

top left:  Manchego & Blackberries on sourdough, quick bites for a last minute get together.

top right:  Madewell slim boyjean rip and repair edition.  Now if I could only get my hips to look like that.

bottom left:  Fog.  Always a favorite.

bottom middle:  With a tiny kitchen, I always love a beautiful way to display.

bottom right:  No matter the season, this always looks inviting.  Go.

And I loved this article.  Although, we do not have these play spaces, I feel blessed to live in an environment where my children are able to play outside, together with neighbors and friends, and create spaces to play, invent and make up games, and learn life skills on their own, among peers, that will make them stronger and more independent.  It is not always appealing aesthetically, and I am sure my neighbors think my yard is an eyesore, as is the treehouse being built in the backyard without any design plans; I have to trust that one day I will have grass to mow, a litter free yard and a old treehouse to look out my kitchen window and remember that this time was short lived and I will long for these days.

Here is a short video from the article.

Happy Monday.
