Happy New Year.
a few things...
I am always scrambling at the last minute for podcasts to listen to on our long car rides. This list will not be on the ready.
And this recipe...although I will switch out the dressing for Tessamae's Lemon Garlic, (have you tried? Probably the most asked about dressing I have ever served!)
I thought this article was important regarding preschool. I have always been a firm believer in project based learning and agree that most learning comes from these experiences.
I want to an excuse to wear this. Maybe if I go here. But I also could see myself doing this for a couple of days. (And that outfit wouldn't really work here.)
Are you watching anything that you would like to share...here are few that have been added to our queue....
And although I am promising myself not to buy another book this year until I have read what I have...this list may come in handy in case I want to check one out of the library.
New York Public Library's Most Popular Check Outs of 2016
A documentary every American should watch.
And Aleppo. Before + After. Trying to remember to go back and read & learn about what was bombed. Make it real.
And for my local friends...love that she is offering these classes for your athletes in your family.

p.s. In 2016, I was looking for a personal project to take on that would push me out of my comfort zone. I also wanted it to include documenting my family as I had done for three years back in 2009 with my one photo, one day blog. The solution was video. 1 second everyday. For one year. I started off strong, but also forgave myself on days that I missed or threw in a still shot from the day. Here is a link to the full results below (but not to bore you...it is a little over 5 minutes long...and I don't want to be responsible for taking that precious time away from you with my home movies....that are VERY amateur.) The app is called 1SE, if you are interested. User friendly and I am so happy I did it...but Dan Socie....please help...you make it look so easy!

a few links...enjoy.
We are need of extra bedding for guests and trying to use that as an excuse to buy one or two of these.
One of everything from this new store, please.
My mother used to make homemade bread when we were growing up. And at Christmas she would give it as a gift. This recipe seems approachable.
Have you tried BEAUTYCOUNTER? I am addicted to the Hydrating Facial Oil, thanks to my dear friend Heidi Evans who gifted me my first bottle on my birthday. This old face has noticed a difference.
And I seem to be putting pomegranate in everything lately. This looks good.
I wanted a modern take on our advent candles and loved the idea of vintage candlesticks.
I went to college with Lee. One of the coolest, most down to earth girls...but now she is a mom...and her status has changed, according to her kids. Here is her funny take on the very subject...follow along with theleeoutloud.com for some good honest perspective.
Debating Christmas cards, but these are pretty cute. And this makes me want to have a dinner party and decorate like this.
And this movie list, for our Sunday mornings or family gatherings over the holidays.
Finally, I have been busy photographing families, but I am usually hesitant to post images as I don't want to let the "cat out of the bag" in case they are planning on using any of them for their holiday cards, hence the lack of work on my blog...but then a family posted this of her favorites. (I can't wait to blog all my work in the new year.)

A few links...enjoy.
Sunday mornings have become a time for me + Mike to get up early, grab coffee and watch a movie. We are usually finished before the rest of the family wakes. Our best intentions to watch on a Saturday night are always thwarted by my snoring 10 minutes in. This new website will come in handy when we are searching something to watch.
Adding this movie to my list to see in theaters (who am I kidding...will add to the Sunday morning que in a year or so). And this one. And this.
A recipe to incorporate all the yumminess of honey crisp apples. This flatbread looks delicious too.
And a child of the 80's, why not neon signs.
A grilled cheese. There is nothing more comforting than the smell of grilled cheese in your home.
A website of "best of" lists for your home...The Sweethome.
Take this Personality Test and get a 'freakishly accurate' description of who you are and why you do things the way you do.
