A collection of things that have me distracted around the web.

Love this….Shaheryar Malik has left stacks of books from his own library at popular destinations all over New York City.

Heather Evans Smith’s series “Seen Not Heard” traces the photographer’s own relationship with her daughter.

I made this last night and will add it to my menu rotation…it was delicious and easy.

I love these shoes.  You know you are old when fashion comes back around.  I remember these from high school.

Obsessed with these turkish towels and thinking about switching out all of our bath linens.

Annual Outing with the Marriners | March 2016

This year, as a holiday gift to eachother's families we decided to go skeet shooting on the Eastern Shore at the beautiful The Point at Pintail.  Both Mike and Tom grew up in hunting families.  Kate and I did not, but have grown to appreciate the sport and our children are being raised to respect and understand the use of a gun and learn proper safety.  Mike and Tom have done a wonderful job creating this awareness for us all.  A few images from a beautiful outing.

Monday Musings | February 2016

a few items that are grabbing my attention this Monday...

Since I can't seem to keep that darn fiddle leaf fig tree alive, I will settle for one of these.

Getting lost in this newsletter for teen girls.  I know I don't have any girls, (except for my nieces and all my teen IG followers), but aren't we always a teen at heart.

And this.  When you have a child who doesn't have a diagnosis of Autism specifically, but has a laundry list of other diagnosis' that look very similar.  It breaks your heart and keeps you up at night when... "... your child has no friends, oblivious to their social deficit and so aggressively social that people shy away unsure of how to interact."

But I am grateful for my father, who has always reminded me, when talking about his oldest grandson,  "If he is not your best friend it's only because you have not met him yet."  So incredibly thankful for his wisdom.

Conversations with Charlie | Personal | 2016

"R.O.T.C.  Right Off The Couch".

What R.O.T.C. stands for according to Charlie when we were talking about a path you should take to become a Navy Seal.

"This toilet paper is worse than the school toilet paper."

Charlie's observation after I bought toilet paper on sale.

Charlie:  "Oh today we have lunch after 5th period.  I hate having lunch after 5th period."

Mike:  "Is that the biggest thing you have to worry about?"

Charlie:  "Yeah, that…and The Purge".

Me:  "Your eyebrows look on fleek today" (knowing I am saying it wrong and that there really is a word for that...however you say/spell it!).

Charlie:  "No they aren't, they are thicker than my 1 1/2 inch binder".

Eyebrows have been a topic ever since his school picture last year.

Jack:  "Sam is like the chick magnet.  He needs to share some of his powers with me and Charlie."

Charlie:  "What are you talking about?  I am like 600 bolts.  You are like a dead battery."

Charlie and Jack on dating.

"Peyton Manning is so old, he probably needs Life Alert when gets tackled."

Charlie (Carolina fan) on Peyton Manning being the oldest QB in NFL History to win the Super Bowl.
